New Features of Windows 10 May 2021 Update

At the very beginning of Windows 10 history, Microsoft released two big updates which were packed with new features each year. Over the past few years, Microsoft often released a big update which brought new significant features in the spring and then a rather smaller one coming with some bugs and fixes in winter. But surprisingly, this year this company presented a small update in May.

Microsoft updated Windows 10 in May 2021, attracting attention from people worldwide. This new release is also called version 21H1 which is suitable for devices running versions 2004 and 20H2. It includes all the features and fixes that have occurred in the previous cumulative updates to Windows 10, version 20H2. There are merely some small changes in features. Windows Hello

Windows Hello multi-camera support enable you to choose an external camera priority when the external and internal cameras are both available.

Windows Defender Application Guard

The performance of Windows Defender Application Guard has been improved, reducing the time you need to open documents. Windows Defender Application Guard helps to prevent untrusted or unknown Word, PowerPoint, or Excel files from accessing the trusted resources of a company.

Microsoft Edge

The EdgeHTML-based Microsoft Edge Legacy will be completely removed from the system. The new system will automatically install Chromium Microsoft Edge which is based on Blink. Microsoft does not change your default browser settings, and your browsing data from the old Edge is automatically migrated to the new one.

Windows Management Instrumentation(WMI)

The Group Policy Service (GPSVC) has been enhanced to support remote work scenarios.

Adobe Flash Player

In Windows 10, version 21H1 system, the built-in Adobe Flash Player is completely removed, and the application icon will not be seen in the control panel. It is reported that the manually installed Flash Player update will not be removed.

Changes are rather small in Windows 10 May 2021 Update, and dramatic update is expected to roll out later this year.
