The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, and a remastered version was released for the PlayStation 4 in 2014.

The game takes place in a world ravaged by a fungal infection that has turned most of humanity into aggressive creatures known as the Infected. The story follows Joel, a smuggler, who is tasked with escorting a young girl named Ellie across the country in order to find a group of resistance fighters known as the Fireflies, who may hold the key to a cure for the infection.

The Last of Us received critical acclaim for its story, characters, gameplay, and graphics, and is often considered one of the best video games of all time. The game's emotional and cinematic storytelling, as well as its realistic and challenging gameplay, have made it a fan favorite and inspired a sequel, The Last of Us Part II, which was released in 2020.
