Nvidia Driver 430.39 Released to Add Support for Windows 10 May 2019 Update

Los Angeles, Calif. - April 23th, 2019 - It's getting closer to the public release of Windows 10 May 2019 Update (also known as Windows 10 version 1903). To add support for the upcoming Windows 10 May 2019 Update, Nvidia rolls out its version 430.39 GeForce Game Ready Driver today. Beyond that, the new GeForce 430.39 WHQL driver also provides support for its GeForce GTX 1650 desktop, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1650 notebook GPUs and seven new G-SYNC compatible monitors.

New Features in Version 430.39 WHQL GeForce Game Ready Driver

Nvidia version 430.39 driver comes with massive performance enhancements, new features, and bug fixes. Below are the performance enhancements and new features brought by version 430.39.

Game Ready

Provides the optimal gaming experience for Mortal Kombat XI, Anthem, and Strange Brigade.

Gaming Technology

Includes support for GeForce GTX 1650 desktop, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1650 notebook GPUs.

Adds support for seven new G-SYNC compatible monitors, including:

  • ACER - KG271 BBMIIPX

  • ACER - XF240H BMJDPR

  • ACER - XF270H BBMIIPRX

  • AOPEN - 27HC1R PBIDPX

  • ASUS - VG248QG

  • GIGABYTE - AORUS AD27QD

  • LG - 27GK750F

Adds support for Windows 10 May 2019 Update (including Variable Rate Shading).

Fixed Issues in Version 430.39

The following bugs are reported to be resolved in version 430.39:

  • [madVR][HDR]: MadVR is not rendering videos in HDR mode using MPC player. [200505657]

  • [Surround][G-SYNC][Pascal GPU]: G-SYNC does not engage when using Surround resolution. [200505986]

Known Issues in Nvidia Version 430.39 WHQL Driver

In addition to bug fixes, there are some open issues included in Nvidia version 430.39 WHQL GeForce Game Ready driver.

Windows 10 Issues

[NVIDIA Control Panel]: When the 3D Settings page >Vertical Sync setting is set to Adaptive Sync (half refresh rate), V-Sync works only at the native refresh rate after rebooting the system. [2543187]

Operating System Issues

  • [Windows 10 Fall Creators Update][HDTV]: 12 bpc is automatically applied even on HDTVs that support only 8 bpc, resulting in a scrambled display. [2007663]

(To work around, open the NVIDIA Control Panel >Change Resolution page, select "Use NVIDIA color settings", then set the Output color depth to 8 bpc.)

  • When upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8, the system fails to retrieve the installed WHQL display driver. [1024416]

Application Issues

Some games and applications are designed to run at a fixed frame rate, and consequently do not take advantage of NVIDIA G-Sync. To prevent issues, G-Sync may be disabled for those applications.
