Solution1. Restart Your Printer

There may be other drivers available for the printer, and your printer driver cannot be installed automatically. You can solve the problem by following these steps:

  • Select Start > Settings > Windows Update.

  • Check for updates at the top of the page.

  • After the system is done checking for updates, select Advanced options.

  • Select Optional updates.

  • Select Driver updates if it's an option on the page.

  • Select the box next to the driver that's associated with the device you're attempting to install.

  • Select the Download & install button.

Solution4. Reset the print Spooler

If none of the previous methods can solve the problem of being unable to connect, you can try to clear the spooler file and restart the spooler service. The spooler is a file that manages the printing process. How to restart the print spooler service?

Follow these steps:

  • Open the Windows Task Manager.

  • In the Task Manager window, click the Services tab.

  • Click the Description column header to sort the list of services by description.

  • Scroll down and find the Print Spooler service in the Description column. This service is named Spooler in the Name column.

  • Right-click the Print Spooler service and select Restart in the pop-up menu.

Once the Print Spooler service restarted, try printing a document or picture to see if the computer can send the print job to the printer.
