The successor of Windows 10, Windows 11, has become one of the hottest topics in 2021. It is slated to arrive on October 5 this year. In order to make Windows 11 perform well, Microsoft has increased the minimum requirements of hardware, which, obviously, are much higher than the requirements of Windows 10.
Please check the minimum requirements of hardware before starting to upgrade your Windows operating system. Changes are presented below in the table:
1GHz or faster CPU or System on a Chip (SoC)
1GHz or faster CPU with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or SoC
1GB RAM for 32-bit OS or 2GB RAM for 64-bit OS
16GB for 32-bit OS or 32GB for 64-bit OS
DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
DirectX 12 compatible graphics card or later with a WDDM 2.x driver
Minimum 800 x 600 resolution
Greater than 9 inches with HD (720p) or greater resolution, 8 bits per color channel
Required HD (720p)
If your PC is the latest and meets the hardware requirements, then congratulations. But, if your PC is rather old and doesn’t meet the requirements directly, you can try to upgrade your RAM, storage, graphics card, or display, or add a webcam.
