How to Fix Brightness Not Working in Windows 10

Method 1: Disable Adaptive Brightness
If the screen brightness is not working in Windows 10, you could try to disable the option Adaptive Brightness. Do the following steps:
Step 1. Right-click the Start button and click Control Panel.
Step 2. Click View by: Small icons.
Step 3. Click Power Options.
Step 4. Under Choose or customize a power plan, click Change plan settings.
Step 5. Click Change advanced power settings.
Step 6. In the Power Options dialog, locate the Display entry and expand it.
Step 7. Expand Enable Adaptive Brightness and set it to Off.
