Microsoft Opens Microsoft Store to Third-party App Stores, including Amazon and Epic Games

Microsoft will officially release the successor of Windows 10, namely Windows 11, on October 5, 2021. The new Microsoft Store will come together with this new Windows operating system on the same time and it will be available to the users of Windows 10 in the coming months. Microsoft opens the Microsoft Store to third-party app stores, which is obviously a great update.

Over the next few months, users will be able to discover storefront apps from Amazon and Epic Games in the Microsoft Store on Windows. After searching or browsing the third-party storefront apps, users will see a product detail page of the corresponding app. And then they can easily and instantly install it, just like any other app in the Microsoft Store on Windows.

According to Microsoft, more app stores will be added into Microsoft Store on Windows in the future. This is, absolutely, a significant news to users of Windows 11, and in the coming months, to users of Windows 10.
