HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU

4. Highlight AU and right-click any blank area in the right pane. Move to New and select DWORD (32-bit) Value.

5. Name it NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers and then double-click this new value.

6. Change the Value data to 1 and click the OK button.

This will help to stop the auto restart after Windows 10 installs the cumulative updates or driver updates.

Way 2. Disable Reboot Task in Computer Management

Also, you can disable the Reboot task on Windows 10 to solve the auto reboot after updates.

1. Right-click the Start menu and select Computer Management.

2. On the left side, expand the folders in order: System Tools > Task Scheduler > Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows.

3. Scroll down and highlight UpdateOrchestrator.

4. Then right-click the Reboot item in the middle column. Select Disable.
